Dr. Theodore Firestone established The Joint Replacement Center of Scottsdale in 2006 with a goal to provide patients with state-of-the-art hip and knee replacement surgical care in a setting that was second to none. In 2021, Dr. Shane Martin took over as director and continues to advance the exceptional level of joint care started by Dr. Firestone. Our staff are constantly praised by patients for their availability, efficiency, and friendliness. In an impersonal medical world of automated phones, paperwork, and loss of identity, we are the exception.
Health Plans
Dr. Martin is a participating provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield and TRICARE. In an effort to make our services more accessible to patients who hold insurance plans that may not be in our network, we also accept out-of-network insured patients for surgical consultations and procedures. Dr. Martin welcomes patients with Medicare insurance. While he may not be a participating provider in the Medicare program, he believes in offering accessible and comprehensive surgical services to all patients, including those with Medicare coverage. Although Medicare patients are required to pay a fee for Dr. Martin’s services, all other expenses associated with their care, including hospitalization, anesthesia, assistant surgeon, physical therapy, radiology, home health services, and labs are covered by their Medicare, secondary and supplemental plans.

As a proud mother of four beautiful children and grandmother to two handsome grandchildren, she understands the importance of treating every patient with kindness and respect. Outside of work, Sadie enjoys spending time outdoors and making lasting memories with her family. She is grateful for the opportunity to work with such a talented team and to help provide exceptional care to every patient.

I have been an orthopedic registered nurse for nearly 20 years, mostly in the inpatient hospital setting taking care of patients after having hip or knee replacement surgery. I joined this team in the summer of 2025 to help our patients better prepare for surgery and guide them through their recovery. When I am not helping patients, my husband and I stay busy chasing our two daughters around with gymnastics, baseball, and all of the other activities they are involved with.

Sarah has worked in the medical field all throughout her undergraduate schooling as a medical scribe and assistant. She takes pride in building patient relationships during medical intake and scheduling. She recently graduated with her Master of Science from UF and plans to pursue medical school in the future. In her spare time, she likes to read and check out new coffee shops!

Jeanette is the clinical director at TJRCS. With almost 25 years of nursing experience, mostly in orthopedics, Jeanette is our most seasoned practitioner. Her unparalleled commitment to patient care and service win her well deserved accolades from patients and colleagues alike. She believes that a caring and responsive team that puts the needs of the patient ahead of personal goals ensures excellent patient experience. In addition to being a dedicated nurse practitioner Jeanette is a loving wife and mother of two sons.

Gina has been working in healthcare administration for over 20 years in orthopedic offices. She manages staffing, financial and administrative services for Greater Phoenix Orthopedics. She loves working to provide support for our staff, patients and physicians. As an Arizona native she enjoys being outdoors, hiking and traveling. She spends her free time with her husband Joe, adult children, and 3 grandkids.
